Relish: Dom Flemons coming to Muddy Creek; has had busy year

Dom Flemons has been a busy man since his last performance in Winston-Salem a year and a half ago. He returns for a show at Muddy Creek Music Hall on March 31 after:

Recording and releasing an album, “Ever Popular Favourites,” with Martin Simpson, an English folk legend.

Researching and recording a forthcoming album for Smithsonian Folkways about black cowboys in the old West.

Compiling the forthcoming “Classic Banjo, Vol. 2” for Smithsonian Folkways.

Performing for the opening ceremonies of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington.

Performing in a tribute to Leadbelly at Carnegie Hall.

Portraying Joe Hill Louis, a rock and roll pioneer, on the CMT TV series “Sun Records.”
