Rocky Mount Mills announces a free outdoor concert series to celebrate the music genres that have influenced North Carolina’s musical DNA.
The Mills is partnering with Schoolkids Records and WUNC to book the debut lineup. Dubbed the SchoolKids Records presents the WUNC Mill Music Sessions offers something for everyone. This year’s roster celebrates stars of the national indie scene like Hiss Golden Messenger and Dom Flemons as well as perennial favorites like Southern Culture on the Skids, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ and Chatham County Line.
The concert experience will be open to the public and family friendly. Concerts will take place on the Mills’ scenic lawn — the better to enjoy the campus and historic sights. Bring a lawn chair, pick up dinner from one of the restaurants on campus or bring a picnic and join us for an evening of music and fun.
